It’s definitely true what they say, Niagara Falls is definitely a ‘wonder of the world’.
The landscapes and natural scenery were the definition of breath taking and I could have literally stayed here all day taking in this incredible place.
The day started off with leaving my Air bnb in Cheektowaga at around 9AM and getting an Uber to Niagara Falls State Park to make sure that I had a full day to see the area and enough time to catch my Amtrak train to Chicago IL.

experience!

After the boat tour, I decided that it would be a good idea to walk along the top of the waterfall to get some pictures and to see the different variety of waterfalls they had at the state park. Perfect for the selfie stick to come out, until it broke :'(.
After all of this I headed into Buffalo town, I was really up for trying the Buffalo wings in a restaurant somewhere but whilst I was debating where I would go to eat, I saw a bunch of homeless gangs lurking nearby which made me feel like the area was a bit sketchy. One woman even came up to me with a bike and started interrogating me asking why I was in Buffalo and I felt really unsafe all of a sudden so I made my way to the bus station which would take me out of town to the Buffalo Depew Station where I had to sit and wait for 4 hours before I could catch the Amtrak - 49 Lake Shore LTD train to Chicago Illinois which departed at 11:59PM.
I don't think I've ever had an experience like the one I had on the Amtrak night trains. It's completely different to any train ride I've ever had in the UK or any flight I've taken. Luckily for the ride, I was able to get a few hours of sleep and didn't have to sit next to anyone, but this train was full of people and there were some kids onboard and in the section where I was sitting which meant I kept waking up. I wish I had bought and taken some noise cancelling headphones with me.
