There was definitely a Pest in Budapest

In November 2017, Myself Matty and Zak set off to Budapest for a 4 day, 5 nights "Lads" holiday. We stayed in a nice little apartment near the centre of Budapest which wasn't too far from the Bridge to cross to get to the other side of the Danube river.
We got up somewhat early so we could get a full days worth of sight seeing in. Day 1 involved a walk over the Elizabeth Bridge to get from one side of the river to the other to head up the hill to the Budapest Castle and to take in the views from the viewing points on the way up. Once we got to the top we had the best view of the entire city for a picture. We had a walk around the Castle grounds and had a look through the market space and had a look round the Fishermans Bastidion and taking silly photos in front of the cannons outside where the Budapest change of guard takes place outside of Sandor Palace. We then caught a Buda Castle "Bus" all the way back down to the bottom back to where the bridges were so we could find somewhere to eat dinner and relax our feet from the long day.
Day 2 highlights included the House of Terror Museum. This museum, also known as "The Arrow Cross" is more than just a museum, it is a piece of Budapest history as during the dying days of the Second World War, 60 Andrassy Boulevard used to be the the Hungarian Nazi Party headquarters. This place was really interesting to walk around and learn about the place and its history.
We then made our way to the centre of Budapest to check out St Stephens basillica and The Budapest Eye to get a city view Budapest (and so I can make a step towards conquering my fear of heights) The views were beautiful as the sunset over the city began to take place. We continued to walk around the city and even walked past the Budapest Parliament buildings, we also decided to head across the bridge again as we thought we would get some better landscape photos from the other side of the buildings. We also had a boat tour on the river Danube even though at night the temperature was like 2 degrees and it was super windy too.
The next highlight of the trip was our subway ride to check out the Budapest Aquarium and reptile house. They had all kinds of Sea Creatures and reptiles from Sharks, Sting Rays to Snakes and Crocodiles. Although the Crocodile started to go a bit nuts and freaked me out a bit.
For our nights out, we found this club called 'Morrisons Too'. We thought it was funny because it was the same name as the Supermarket back home in the UK and it was the place we would end up for both of the nights out. It had different rooms, one for Dance Drum&Bass, R&B, Cheesy Pop Hits and my favourite of the lot... Kareoke as well as a bunch of bars all near each other. Definitely drank a bit too much that night. Two nights of sheer drunk mayhem and madness and I'm still surprised that I can remember both nights so vividly. Probably because it's where I convinced some Budapest locals that I was a touring singer with Ed Sheeran and Matty found himself in such a weird situation with one of the Hungarian girls and started to annoy the hell out of me and Zak and wouldn't let us go home with the keys in case we locked him out. At this point we just ended up staying outside of the club drinking from a Jack Daniels bottle on a step by the side of the road waiting for him to leave (he did eventually but it was gone 4am at this point).
