After about a year of writing and producing music with my new producer friend Artur, we decided it would be beneficial for my debut EP for me to fly to France and for us to spend a week in his home studio recording and writing music, playing lots of Tennis and eating a lot of rich food and lovely wine.
Me and Arthur had been getting to know each other and talking music for about a year and when we had a facetime call to arrange for me to fly to Paris Gerraint Airport and we would spend a week together just making music and recording some songs for my EP.
Overall the experience was a really lovely one, his parents were really accomodating buying in so much food and drink for BBQ's every night, lots of wine and beer and the weather every day was lovely and sunny, but a bit too hot for playing Tennis as it hindered my abilities.
We wrote 3 songs and came up with some new song concepts and ideas for songs to be worked on at a later date.
I also decided that I wanted to record a music video so we went on a drive around Criel Sur Mer to find the best spots to record for it. We found a lovely lasndscape view walking to the top of the cliffs where you can see the surroudning sea. We also found a couple of beaches where there weren't many people sitting jut under some cliffs which had perfect shots for the video, it felt very One Direction from their song 'What Makes You Beautiful'.
During the final night, Arthurs Dad invited me to play a small set at the restaurant where they play regularly, in front of 200 people so I played my new song 'Holly Springs' for the first time as an acoustic rendition and some cover songs. I was very nervous as it was my first time performing in front of people since I was at University but I really enjoyed the experience and it gave me an adrenaline rush and now I want to do it more and more.
